Palazzo Grassi reopened on 11 July 2020 and is located a few steps from Ca' Morosini
On the first floor there is the exhibition "Henri Cartier-Bresson. Le Grand Jeu ", created with the Bibliothèque nationale de France and in collaboration with the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation.
The exhibition compares five curators on the work of Cartier-Bresson (1908 - 2004), and in particular on the "Master Collection", a selection of 385 images that the artist identified in the early seventies, on invitation of his collector friends Jean and Dominique de Menil, as the most significant of his work.
The Palace also presents a monographic exhibition dedicated to the artist Youssef Nabil entitled "Once Upon a Dream" and curated by Matthieu Humery and Jean-Jacques Aillagon.
The photographs subsequently hand-painted by Youssef Nabil return the suggestion of a legendary Egypt between symbolism and abstraction. The exhibition aims to invite you to a free immersion in the artist's career through thematic sections that reproduce his first works up to the most recent works. Nabil's video production with its three Arabian Happy Ending videos, I Saved My Belly Dancer and You Never Left.
Open on Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10 to 19 until 20 March 2021
